Adopt A Park sign for Gary Falati Park, green and white sign on post in park setting

Park Cleanup: Saturday, November 21st (Morning)

An Open Letter to Our Goldridge Neighbors

If you’ve driven, biked or walked by Gary Falati Neighborhood Park recently, you might have noticed our new Adopt-A-Park sign is officially up! I have to admit, seeing it there brought tears to my eyes.

This park is deeply personal to me. It’s where my son once played, and being able to adopt it and pour love back into this space is therapeutic beyond words. It is a meaningful way to honor his legacy while serving the community he loved.

When The Moonlight Foundation and Goldridge Neighborhood Watch stepped up to adopt Falati Park, we didn't just sign an agreement to clean picnic tables and rake leaves—we made a commitment to revitalize the heart of Goldridge.

What this adoption means for us:

  • Enhanced Safety & Vigilance: A well-cared-for park naturally deters vandalism and crime, making it a safe haven for our children and seniors.
  • Neighborhood Pride & Connection: When we invest in our shared spaces, we build stronger ties with one another and create a park our families are proud to gather in.
  • A Voice for Maintenance & Care: It gives us a direct line to city leadership to ensure lighting, repairs, and landscaping receive the attention they deserve.

Restoring a park isn't a one-person job—it takes a village. I want to thank all of you who have spoken with me, shared your concerns, and helped shape this vision.

Join us for our next park restoration event on November 21 at 9 AM.

Restoring a park isn't a one-person job—it takes a village. Whether you can give an hour or a whole morning, your presence matters.
